President 6920 spin reel,
This reel instantly became my favorite tiny ultra light reel. I own 3 brands about this size and I think the new style President is the best on the market in this very small size. I have some larger ultra light reels that I like as well, but I’ve not seen anything in the 6920’s 5.9 oz. weight range that comes close. The new style handle knob is very well designed, providing a nice non-slip grip in just the right size. I’ve always liked Presidents, and I believe this new version is an improvement over the last version. Except for one thing-this new model doesn’t come with a spare spool! The reel foot has been changed and the new ones are lighter. Drags are very smooth and strong, even in the smallest size 6920. Highly recommended. If you can find these marked down in price they are a great bargain. Of all the spinning reels I’ve used, I consider these, and one other brand, to be by far the best buys at their price point. They beat out some more expensive reels in performance.

Without a doubt this is one of the nicest, smoothest reels you can get at this price. I especially like the fact that the new presidents and I think all or most of the pflueger lineup is coming with braid ready spools, I have had my share of braid spinning on the spool because I didn’t remember to back the braid up with mono and not having to do that anymore is a weight off my shoulders. I really like these reels I have two one old and one new and they are both phenomenal.

I have two of these Pflueger President reels — this one and the next size larger. They are such good quality that I may buy another. Smooth casting and retrieve, solid feel in all functions and easy to adjust the drag. I use this one for jigging and the larger one for bottom bouncers. I know it’s just one link in the process, but it won’t be the weak link and may help you catch that next wall mounter.
