Wonderful reel!!,
This reel is amazingly smooth, has held it own on several salt water fishing trips. After each trip I make sure to rinse the reel in fresh water and it works like new. Can’t beat it for the price.

i purchased the 6000 model for surf fishing along the west coast. so far this thing has shown durability and still reels in smoothly. i have used for over 5 months now and have only oiled it twice. it also takes a good beating and has kept on ticking. awesome value =)

|Great economical reel,
I normally use Okuma or Daiwa reels for saltwater fishing, but after reading some recommendation, tried to buy the Pursuit 4000. I loved it! It’s very smooth and strong, and so far after abusing it, still have no problems with the mechanism. I decided to get more Penn reels, the pursuit 8000 and battle 8000 to try on heavier game. Can’t wait to get them in my mailbox soon!
